This listing is a pre-order for the 'Pretty Fabrics and Trims' 2022 Christmas Advent Box.... a special 'box full of loveliness' full of happy stitches! The idea is, that on each of the four Sunday's in Advent starting on the the first Sunday, which this year is the 27th November, there will be some festive parcels full of loveliness for you to open. These will be clearly labeled week 1, week 2 and so on.

Sarah says... "This year I have been inspired by the warm, cozy and traditional Christmas holidays that I was lucky enough to enjoy when I was younger. The fire was always burning, candles were lit and decorations from years gone by were carefully bought down from the loft and unwrapped, joined as always by new homemade additions. With great excitement, on Christmas morning I would awake to the smell of the turkey already cooking in the oven and would find a special present, left for me to find at the foot of my bed. A few more presents could be found under the Christmas tree, which we opened togteher as a family and these very often included many handmade for me with lots of love and care. What always followed was a day of love and laughter spent together and happy memories of Christmas pasts reminisced."

What is inside the box?

We don't want to give too much away, but here's what we can tell you...

The 2022 Advent Main Project - as in previous years, Sarah has designed a brand new and exclusive* Christmas themed wall hanging/mini quilt for the box. This years project has a festive embroidery sampler panel at it's centre, which includes 12 different embroidery designs. The embroidery panel will be revealed and instructions given for each design on the first Sunday in Advent, so you'll be able to enjoy some relaxing happy stitches at your own pace, throughout Advent. The border section of the wallhanging will be revealed in week 4. This project will also include applique, machine piecing and hand quilting.

4 Extra Christmas Themed Kits - Each week, there will be an addtional 'smaller' Christmas themed kit for you to make, again designed by Sarah and exclusive* to the Christmas Advent Box... this could be a felt decoration, an EPP ornament, an embroidery kit or even another mini quilt....lots more festive happy stitches for you to enjoy!

'Little Happy' Extras - Finally, we will include a further 'little happy' extra parcel each week... inside this you can as always, expect embroidery threads and various spools of Sarah's favourite Aurifil threads, plus some of Sarah's favourite sewing notions, that will come in handy to help you complete the projects. There will also be some other treats, perhaps another little mini kit or a little something extra either carefully chosen or designed by Sarah, just for you!

All the projects will contain all the fabrics, felt and fripperies needed to complete it. This includes if required:

Our beautifully soft, cotton/linen fabric for the sampler, which will come pre-printed with the embroidery designs, so need to transfer
Embroidery threads
EPP papers and/or applique templates
All the pretty fabrics, plus backing and binding fabrics
Stuffing or wadding where needed
Pretty ribbons, buttons and trims
And of course detailed instructions

The colour scheme for the box will be Sarah's favourite Christmassy reds, off whites, mixed with little touches of other complimentary festive colours. Rest assured, the projects will be in keeping with Sarah's unique style and they will have a homespun and traditional Christmas feel!

Dimensions:

The completed mini quilt/wall hanging will measure approx 18 1/2" x 21 1/2".

What other supplies will I need?

Again, we don't want to give away too much, but some threads will be coming... you may wish to supplement these from your stash, but this will not be essential!

Your usual patchwork and sewing related tools.

How much does the Box cost?

The cost for the box is:

UK Box Price ~ £176, which includes postage via 1st Class Signed For Mail
International Box Price ~ £176, which includes postage via Priority Mail but excludes UK VAT. Please note the listing price will adjust and reduce to this once you have entered your country or residence at checkout.

A special note for our Overseas Customers, we will happily post worldwide and we will send you parcel by either 'International Tracked & Signed', 'International Signed' or 'International Tracked' depending on which service is available for your location.

Buyers are responsible for any tax/duty that is due upon receipt of the package. We can not also accept responsibilty for International orders that are held up in customs.

Whilst we will carefully wrap your box and it's contents, Customs Officers can and may open packages to spot check the items. Unfortunately, should this occur, it is out of out control and regrettably, we cannot be held responsible for damage to parcels, in this case.

When will I receive my box?

Our plan is to post the boxes mid October.... in plenty of time for Christmas.....so just remember, no peeking is allowed and don't forget where you hide them!

Will the fabrics be exactly the same as shown in the inspiration photograph?

The inspiration photograph is intended to give you a feel of the colours, design and the style of fabrics that will be included, but rest assured, everything that we pick will be equally as scrumptious! The remaining photo's show kits from previous years boxes, to give you an idea of what you can expect to receive.

Please note we will not provide any refunds on this item and it is non cancelable. The reason for this is, we are small family business and to ensure that we can prepare and post your box as promised, we order ALL the supplies required in advance, based upon your commitment when you purchase. We therefore politely ask that you make absolutely certain that you wish to commit prior to purchasing this listing.
We regret, the Christmas Box cannot be shipped with other shop orders or other Subscription/Block of the Month parcels, we're sorry for any inconvenience!
