Sarah says....."I have long been fascinated with the concept of snippet rolls, which like their namesake can feature a multitude of bits of fabric, paper, lace, old quilts, buttons etc. Having acquired some vintage industrial bobbins, I decided the time had come for me to create my take on this, not really a snippet roll as such as I wanted it to be easily identified as my work, so I use my favourite natural linen and embellished this with applique and EPP. I wanted it to have a little bit of a sewing theme, which would link back to the wooden bobbin, so I couldn't resit re drawing and embroidering 'a little happiness in every stitch' and I was also inspired by the idea of a vintage button card. I finished the piece which is really like a long and thin mini quilt, with my favourite big stitch hand quilting and binding. Wishing you lots of happy stitches, Sarah xo".

4 pretty buttons
A vintage wooden spool, which has had a previous life in an industrial setting, so it will have chippy paint and signs of wear.
Twine for hanging and a snippet of ribbon.
