A GENTLE DAY …..capturing simple moments that bring joy

Welcome to the A Gentle Day #alittlehappysewalong. 

A new year means a new Sewalong for our newsletter readers.  The PDF pattern is available for you to download and print below and can be traced onto fabric of your choice.  Thread colours and stitches used are also detailed each month, although feel free to substitute as desired.  

I've had various ideas for how I'm going to use the embroideries...initially I had thought a mini quilt, but I've now decided to wait until I've completed them all, to be inspired.   Other suggestions could be to embroider a book cover (wouldn't January's be fabulous used to wrap a hand written journal full of your favourite family recipes!).  You could make little lavender pillows, stuffed hearts  or simply sew them into the pages of a book, a reminder of all your happy stitches of 2023.  I am sure you will all have lots of lovely ideas too!
