Here is everything* that you will need to make your very own 'Faded Red Cottage Garden Huswif' just like the one that Sarah made.
Sarah says....."This pretty sewing organiser has got various pockets (no zips!) for your sewing essentials and also somewhere to keep your embroidery threads from tangling. I wanted it to be both functional and pretty and a pleasure to both sew and use. It includes Hand Embroidery, English Paper Piecing & Hand Quilting…. a lovely project, if like me, you enjoy lots of hand stitching! Happy Stitches, Sarah".
The pack contains the pattern with detailed instructions, plus all the fabrics, including pre-printed cotton/linen mix fabric for the embroidery, wadding, binding fabric, embroidery threads, English Paper Pieces, ribbon, trims, D rings & a vintage button.
*To complete, you will also need threads for piecing and quilting, a 7” Embroidery Hoop and Basting Glue Spray such as 505 (optional but very handy!)...plus all your favourite notions and tools.
To assist in the making of this kit, you can also find various English Paper Piecing and Embroidery 'little happy' tutorials on our blog HERE, with lots of photographs!
The finished huswif measures Open: 7 ½” x 21 ½” / Closed: 7” x 7 ½”
* For the general machine piecing and EPP, Sarah used Aurifil 50wt and for the hand quilting Aurifil 12 wt in number 2311, available HERE . A 7" embroidery hoop can be found HERE.
From time to time we may have to make very small substitutions to the fabrics or pretty trims pictured, rest assured if this is the case, they will be just as lovely!
