Roxana ~ meaning 'little star' in Persian

Sarah says "This fun lap size quilt combines a chequerboard layout and appliqued stars. It is the comfort project you need when you want to sew, but you're possibly a little too tired for hand embroidery or you just don't want to have to think too much....I know as happy stitchers you will completely get that feeling. I used the needle turn technique for my stars, but the star is big enough that it will happily work with the interfacing applique method and of course you could also use the raw edge applique method if you prefer. A printed copy of the pattern
A scrumption selection of red feature fabrics
Off White Bella Solid background fabric
Binding fabric
Roxana Star 2 piece Arylic Template

You will also need:

Sewing threads (sarah used a selection 80wt threads for the applique and 50wt #2311 thread in her machine)
12wt thread for the hand quilting. Sarah used a shade of Red, but her favourite shade #2311 would also look fabulous
Wadding
Backing Fabric
Plus all your usual quilting tools and notions
