This listing is a pre-order for the 'Pretty Fabrics and Trims' 2024 Advent Box.

Sarah says... "This year for our very special and exclusive Advent Box, I have designed a festive embroidery sampler as the main project, which I have called the 'Countdown to Christmas' Sampler. The sampler, which will grant you hours of festive happy stitches, is pre-printed on to our favourite beautifully soft, white cotton/linen fabric and includes 24 individual embroideries featuring activities that we enjoy in the lead up to the big day itself....making decorations, icing the cake, having a Christmas film night etc. The thread colours have a soft festive vintage and gentle feel. As you would expect, by the end of Advent everything will be included to enable you to sew your sampler into a beautiful hand quilted wall hanging, to be enjoyed for future years to come!

In addition, you'll also receive four mini kits, two of which I can reveal will be gorgeous Felt Christmas Decoration kits and two will be festive English Paper Pieced Decoration kits.

Of course, you will also find a selection of 'little happy' extras, either designed or especially chosen by me, for you!

As always, I have loved creating the projects included in this very special box for you and each one has had my heart and soul put in to every stitch! "

What is inside the box and when do I open the parcels?

We're sticking with our tried and tested recipe. The idea is, that on each of the four Sunday's in Advent, (which this year rather perfectly the first Sunday in Advent is the 1st December) there will be three festive parcels full of loveliness for you to open. These will be clearly labeled week 1, week 2 and so on.

Main Project - as detailed above, the main project is our festive 'Countdown to Christmas' Embroidery Sampler. In week one you will receive the pre-printed linen, and all the embroidery threads required. Whilst the design will be revelaed in full, in week one we will include the written instructions for days 1 through to 6 and then over the course of weeks two, three and four, you will receive instructions for how to stitch the remaining 18 embroideries. Each embroidery is as always, based upon one of Sarah's original hand drawn designs. In week four, you will receive your finishing pack which includes the wadding, backing and binding fabric to turn your embroideried sampler in to a beautiful hand quilted wall hanging.

Mini Kits - This year there are four stand alone festive themed mini kits. As detailed, these are two gorgeous wool/rayon felt kits and two English Paper Piecing kits, so lots of happy hand stitches! Please note, to complete one of these projects you will need to add a small amount of stuffing of your choice (think cricket ball size).

'Little Happy' Extras - Finally, we will include a further 'little happy' extra parcel each week... this could be one of Sarah's favourite sewing notions that will come in handy to help you complete the projects or a little something either designed by or chosen by Sarah just for you!.

All the projects will contain all the fabrics, felt and fripperies needed to complete it. This includes if required:

Our beautifully soft, cotton/linen fabric for the sampler and where needed will come pre-printed with the embroidery designs, so need to transfer
All the embroidery threads needed. This will be a mix of full skeins and pulled threads.
Gorgeous metallic thread and 12wt thread for the hand quilting.
100% cotton fabric for the lining, backing and binding.
100% cotton wadding, so the sampler is nice and squishy.
Gorgeous wool/rayon felt for the decorations.
Hexiform shapes for the EPP decorations, so no need to remove.
Pretty ribbons, buttons and trims
And of course detailed instructions and full size template sheets for the felt decorations.

The completed Sampler is quite large and will measure 15" x 23" approx .

What other supplies will I need?

Your usual patchwork and sewing related tools and notions.
Plus as detailed above, a small amount of stuffing for one of the decorations, this could be toy stuffing wool stiffing, even offcuts of felt or fabric cut into little pieces. Think cricket ball size.

The box price includes postage via Priority Mail but excludes UK VAT. Please note the listing price will adjust and reduce to this once you have entered your country or residence at checkout.

We will happily post worldwide and we will send you parcel by either 'International Tracked & Signed', 'International Signed' or 'International Tracked' depending on which service is available for your location.

Buyers are responsible for any tax/duty that is due upon receipt of the package. Please remember that UK VAT is automatically deducted from your order at checkout.

We can not also accept responsibilty for International orders that are held up in customs.

Whilst we will carefully wrap your box and it's contents, Customs Officers can and may open packages to spot check the items. Unfortunately, should this occur, it is out of out control and regrettably, we cannot be held responsible for damage to parcels, in this case.

Very occasionally we are unable to post to an International destination due to Sanctions, the postal service not being available or previous problems we have experienced. If this were to occur then we would advise you at the earliest opportunity and provide you with a full refund.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes and it's super easy, please follow these two steps:

Then, return back to this listing and CLICK HERE to set up your Four Monthly Payments. This must be set up the same day please, to reserve your box. Your first payment will be debited straight away, then monthly there after for four payments in total.

When will I receive my box?

Our plan is to post the boxes mid October, earlier if we can*.... but in plenty of time for Christmas.....so just remember, no peeking is allowed and don't forget where you hide them!

*If you are away on holiday from say September onwards and want us to avoid this, please add a note at checkout or pop us an email.

FINALLY, BEFORE PURCHASING THIS LISTING PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

Please note we will not provide any refunds on this item and it is non cancelable. The reason for this is that we are small family business and to ensure that we can prepare and post your box as promised, we order ALL the supplies required in advance, based upon your commitment when you purchase this pre-order. We therefore politely ask that you make absolutely certain that you wish to commit prior to purchasing this listing.

We appreciate and understand that it is a big investment to pre-order an Advent Box. Therefore, for the first time this year, if you are really not sure and would like to see the main project before committing to a box, then please email Sarah. In order to maintain the surprise element of the box, this is however, sent on the strict understanding that this must not be shared with anyone else either in person or digitally. And under no circumstances on any social media platform. The full design must not be revealed in its entirety and publically, until the after the week 4 parcels have been opened on the 22nd December 2024. This service (available Monday to Friday) will be withdrawn once all our Advent Box pre-orders have sold out. Thank you for your understanding.
